With an edge of darkness and a note of humour, Leyla uses a multitude of mediums - visually, conceptually, and performatively - to explore identity, psychological phenomena, and the complex relationship between humans and nature, reality and fantasy. Her current project is a series in watercolour and ink combining the aesthetic of medical illustration with surreal circumstances an fantastical beasts A Visual Arts graduate of Camosun College, Leyla currently resides in Victoria, BC, studying art and other mysteries of life.
